Ontario homeowners can get Government of Ontario grants for a new air conditioner when replacing an existing air conditioner.
- $250 — replace your central air-conditioning system with an ENERGY STAR qualified system that has a SEER of 14.5 or higher (complete system replacement, including indoor coil and outdoor components).
Air conditioner rebates — how they work
Take advantage of Ontario Home Energy grants for new air conditioners from the Government of Ontario:
- Ontario Home Energy rebates — Ontario homeowners can get up to $250 from the Ontario government for a new high-efficiency replacement air conditioner. The Government of Ontario grants up to $5,000 for home energy renovations through the Ontario Home Energy Savings program, which is in effect until March 31, 2011. Click here for more
- Home Energy Audits — To qualify for Government of Ontario’s Home Energy air conditioner rebates, Ontario homeowners must get a home energy audit before and after their new air conditioner installation.
